How to reduce screen Time A resource for teachers and parents. After being asked for advice from parents and teachers looking to reduce screen time for children I have created a YouTue video and worksheets. The worksheets are designed for Teachers and Parents to use alongside a free YouTube Channel with a video dedicated to how to manage screen time and introduce Screen Free Time accessible here: https://youtu.be/rg2KyCFpV9c The video is light hearted and practical and can be followed by Teachers and parents with children. These Printable Gratitude Journal sheets with blank and days of the week on as well as prompts are a great way to add a little positivity to the start or the end of your day, did you know that gratitude has been shown to reduce stress and improve wellbeing? Noticing the pleasant moments in the day can really help lift our mood. At the end of each day I sit down and think back on what I liked about my day, those little moments which made me smile or actions which made me feel loved. Moments which can easily pass me by or be taken for granted. By taking this moment to think about what I am grateful for I end the day in a good mood it reminds me that no matter how bad might be, there is always something about the day that made me smile or that I was grateful for. This is a really lovely practice to start doing at the end of each day, especially if you find yourself comparing yourself to others and rushing around getting everything done , it can be easy to feel like life is passing us by and we are not noticing those little moments. These colour in worksheets, display posters, journal inserts, card packcan be used in lots of ways to introduce students of all ages to the concept of self care , mental wellbeing and mental health. This can form a creative, fun and engaging part of a lesson to introduce or consolidate a lesson plan around mental wellbeing, dealing with stress and the importance of self - care to promote and maintain positive wellbeing. These self - care colouring worksheets allow students to be creative colouring in these cute self care prompts whilst also prompting them to wonder what kind of self are acts they could add themselves. **What can you do with these? ** These colouring sheets can be used in lots of different ways here are a few ideas: A colouring worksheet. A game to play self care snaps or self care Pairs. A fun guessing game/ charades where students have to guess what the activity is Self - care Daily practice - Cut out colour in (and laminate) and shuffle the set and ask the students to pick one each day. Colour in and put up around the classroom or at home as a little prompts for teachers, students and parents to self- care each day. Cut up, colour in , place in jar and ask them to add their own self- care ideas and each day they can pick out an activity when they feel stressed aspart of their wellbeing jar. My favourite thing to do with these once I have coloured them in, is to cut them out , fold them and put them in a jar. Each day I pick one out - this is a fun way to make sure i do one thing nice for myself body or mind each day!
